![]() ![]() Maybe you have rare, one-off live tracks that don't exist on mainstream services. Maybe you've got one too many subscriptions already, so why pay for one more when you already have a music library of thousands of MP3 files sitting on your hard drive? Or maybe you've meticulously crafted iTunes playlists, like mixtapes of old, that you don't want to re-create or transfer to another service. And the tracks are downloadable, too, so you can listen to your music even when you leave a Wi-Fi or cellular coverage area. You pay your $5 to $10 a month, and you get access to nearly every popular song ever recorded. Any iPhone or Android phone is an audio player that works with subscription music apps like Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music and YouTube Music. When I just hang out with the two after the failed pairing (and all other bluetooth devices turned off) I will eventually get a disconnect sound from the pbp's and I'll see the mighty vibe a second later power off so clearly, it seems as they are "connected", but just not fully I guess.įYI: I find the reddit community policies very confusing and this is my first post, so if this is actually a duplicate or something, my bad.Standalone MP3 players dominated pop culture for a long time, but in 2023 almost no one needs one. I have also removed the pbp's from the mighty vibe's interface on the phone app you have to use to initially set it up, and I re-assigned it to the mighty vibe again. I know that the Powerbeats are working, I have made sure I can listen to them from Spotify on my computer and my phone, but I can't help but feel like it's the headphones that aren't working with the device, and not so much the other way around due to the "pop" sound in the headphones when pairing doesn't complete. I never saw my unique situation exactly mentioned on reddit, so I figured I'd throw my issue into the void and see if anyone had a suggestion, or perhaps has these two devices as well. Sadly, I am spending the hour I planned on running with music, trying to troubleshoot this problem. I never hear the signature *chime* sound that I should hear from the mighty vibe indicating that it agrees to the connection. ![]() I press the power/play button on the mighty vibe and the light comes on solid green (as it should), and then I take out the Powerbeats pros out of the charging case, put them in my ears, and then I hear the sound from the pbp's telling me they are connected, and I can see the mighty vibe stop being solid green, and start flashing green (as it should to indicate pairing), BUT! At this moment I end up hearing the faintest *pop* sound in the headphones, and I never quite get to a true connection to the music player. I know from experience that bluetooth isn't perfect.Īnyway, I am experiencing an issue and I don't know where to point the finger: Mighty vibe OR Powerbeats pros? Here's what happens: My wife also has them, and I know they sometimes have pairing issues even when you've been using the same device pairings, and it's somewhat normal to have these problems. I had to hit the holy button of truth on the case in every which way on the case to get things to eventually work after an hour or two out of the box. The first day I got the Powerbeats pros, I really struggled to get them to connect. ![]() I used to go around with an older iPod shuffle, but sadly apple doesn't make those anymore. In an effort to get music back into my runs, I purchased the mighty vibe and Powerbeats pros for runs. ![]()
